The practical side of things Since they run on 220V, they plug right into your standard industrial power setup. One thing you’ll notice is that the surface of the lamp doesn’t get nearly as scorching hot as a halogen bulb. This is a huge relief. If a curious piglet bumps right up against it, you aren’t worrying about instant burns. Plus, the heat spreads out evenly. Unlike halogen tubes that hit peak heat in a blink, carbon fiber takes a little longer to ramp up. You’ll want to tweak your timers and thermostats to account for that lag. That’s the secret to keeping that steady 32-35°C sweet spot. One last thing—be gentle with the mounting brackets. If you crank them down too tight, you put stress on the glass. When the lamp gets hot, that stress can lead to cracks. Just snug them up and you’re good to go.
