At 1260mm long and 2500W, it’s basically a powerhouse designed for curing and drying across a wide area. The heat side of things With 2500W spread over that 1260mm length, you get a really steady stream of heat. Here’s the thing: unlike shortwave lamps that just blast the surface, these carbon fiber elements use far-infrared radiation. It actually gets inside the material. You end up with a much more even internal temperature. Just a heads-up, though. If your ventilation is lacking, the ambient heat can build up fast. Make sure your cooling fans are up to the task, or you might find your housing starting to warp. Why carbon fiber? We wrap carbon fiber filaments in high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because carbon fiber can take a much higher beating than your standard nichrome wire. It doesn’t expand and contract nearly as much, so the tube isn’t going to snap just because you’re cycling the heat up and down quickly. The quartz envelope does the heavy lifting here—it keeps the element from oxidizing while letting those IR waves slide right through. Getting it up and running These are meant to slide right into your industrial drying tunnels or PET lines. But since they’re 1260mm long, you’ve got to be careful with your mounting brackets. Keep them rigid. If the tube sags even a little under its own weight, you’ll get hot spots, and that’s a fast track to a premature burnout. And please, check your voltage stability before you flip the switch. Voltage spikes are the number one killer of carbon elements. If you need to be surgical with your temperature ramps, just hook it up to a PID controller and you’re golden.
