At the core is a 300mm quartz tube holding a carbon fiber heating element. It’s compact, so it slips right into tight oven zones and focused heating lanes. The unit runs at 2500W on a 400V supply. That high voltage keeps the current low, which means smaller wiring and less stress on connections. The payoff? Serious heat density—quick ramp-up to the right temperature, and precise control over how long the heat stays on.
Why it feels so steady
Carbon fiber gives you low thermal mass, so the element heats and cools almost instantly when the controls say so. The quartz tube can take sudden temperature swings and stays clear, so infrared energy passes through efficiently. Inside, a halogen gas fill keeps the filament temperature steady, which helps the output stay consistent even if the voltage dips a bit. And the lamp uses an R7s connector, so installation is simple—just drop it in. No custom brackets, no fuss.
What it means for your bread
In baking, this setup zeroes in on the crust phase. You get fast surface heating that locks in structure and color before too much moisture escapes.
