At the heart is a carbon fiber filament inside a quartz envelope. That combo handles rapid heating and cooling without giving up. A halogen cycle keeps the filament clean, so output stays steady over thousands of hours. Installation is straightforward, too. The R7s connector is a direct, two-ended fit—drop it in, wire it up, and you’re running.
Where it shines—and what to keep in mind
You’ll see these lamps in PET blowing, thermoforming, and coating lines. The infrared energy hits the target surface directly, not the air around it. That means less wasted energy and less extra heat building up on the machine. But there’s a trade-off: concentrated heat needs proper cooling and shielding.
