The tube is quartz, not regular glass. Why? Because quartz can handle the shock of going from cold to scorching over and over again, and it stays rock-solid even when things get extreme. Inside, the carbon element keeps resistance steady, so the output stays predictable over the life of the lamp. We also coat the quartz to tune the heat spectrum, focusing the energy on the wavelength your material absorbs best. And the R7s connector? It’s just practical. It handles the high current, makes end-to-end wiring clean, and lets you drop it in without rewiring the whole fixture.
Where It Shines—and What To Keep In Mind
This lamp really comes alive in jobs like PET blowing and plastic welding, where you need heat on demand. The radiant heat hits the surface directly, so you get to working temperature fast.
