What It’s Built With—and Why It Matters
Inside the quartz envelope, the carbon fiber filament has low thermal mass, so it heats up fast. The moment you need it, it’s ready. The halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, which helps the output stay consistent over the life of the lamp. No drift. No surprises. And the R7s connector? It’s a straight mechanical fit for standard sockets. On the floor, that means a clean, straightforward drop-in replacement.
Where It Shines—and What You Gain
Use this lamp when you need rapid, focused heat—PET blowing, thermoforming, plastic welding, and similar processes. The fast ramp-up can cut cycle time. The compact tube makes it easier to integrate into existing tooling without a redesign. But there’s a trade-off: that high watt density needs proper airflow or cooling. If you don’t plan for it, nearby components can run hotter than you’d expect.
The Reality: Heat Is Power—and It Needs Respect
The whole point is high heat density. That also means your machine’s cooling system has to be properly sized. Match the airflow and thermal path to the lamp. If you don’t, you risk shortening the life of nearby electronics and insulation. Plan the cooling like you mean it—because when the heat is this focused, the details matter.
